I spent all of yesterday in retreat with a dozen or so women in a boathouse on the Floating Harbour. In the afternoon we spent an hour or so in creative activity. I chose to flick through a couple of magazines, cut out images that apealed to me and create a collage to illustrate who I am. This is the finished result.
I brought it home and showed it to my elder daughter, who giggled and remarked on the number of images of food!
Hello
ReplyDeleteI've decided it is time to explain why I've got so behind with 'Shouting at the Radio'.
In February, I decided to start another blog (less serious) for fun. It's called ESTHER IN THE GARDEN - under the name 'Esther Montgomery'.
It took off more than I had expected - it took more work than I had expected too!
I have now started a sort of sequel to it called LOOSE AND LEAFY under the name 'Lucy Corrander' which means I still won't be having time for 'Shouting at the Radio'.
As far as I can tell, hardly anyone who reads these blogs knows about 'Shouting at the Radio' or that they are by the same person - me!
I have put 'Just Gai' on the blogroll of LOOSE AND LEAFY . I hope that's ok. If not, let me know.
Susan
Hello again Susan.
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you'd gone.
Now I know.
The collage looks beautiful. It reminds me of the work promoted by a photographer called Elizabeth Handy, who gets her subjects to choose five things that capture their spirit and then photographs their arrangement. Always thought provoking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Almost Mrs Average. I enjoyed creating it and it's now stuck to one of my kitchen cupboards. A bit of competition for my girls!
