On the Eleventh & Twelfth Days of Christmas ...

I spent most of my time tidying and cleaning.

Not very interesting I know, but believe me our house needs it.  Besides the weather outside was awful.

So I flung on some old clothes, switched on the radio and got stuck in.  There were regular tea breaks (with Christmas cake!) and at the end of the day I chilled out watching the new Bridge and Sherlock.

I would have taken some before and after shots, but the former would have been way too embarrassing!

Half Term Projects

I found that drawing up a list helped me to make the best use of my summer holidays, so I have decided to repeat the experiment for the October half term holiday.

So here it is:
  1. Turn 1.5 kg of green tomatoes into chutney
  2. Discover more traders who accept Bristol pounds
  3. Release a few more books
  4. Tidy the back bedroom
  5. Bake our Christmas cake
  6. Read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami
  7. Bake this loaf of bread
  8. Visit Cheltenham for the day
  9. Finish knitting bunting for my elder daughter
  10. Make our Christmas pudding
  11. Catch up with a few old friends
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Day 31 - Where I Relax

This is our new(ish) sofa which replaced the threadbare Habitat one we'd had for 25 years.  I was sad to see it go as it held so many happy memories but I have to admit that this Cavendish sofa from Derwent is so much more comfy.  It's even worth the weeks we spent agonising over style, the size and fabric.

Well, that's it. The last day of March and its photo challenge.  Thanks to Fatmumslim for setting it and to all of you who have been following it, with special reference to Kay at Just Humans Being who has been particularly supportive in her comments.
