my Dad's nickname for me as a child
Very fetching. Was this how you decorated your house for 14th or did some other building benefit from your seasonal knit?
I'm glad you like my Valentine knit. It was one of a number of heart designs with which a group of fellow 'knitivists' decorated our neighbourhood to celebrate the festival of love. Most of our creations were mini crocheted hearts which we hung on railings, gates, door knockers and trees, but I also knitted a few strips to be sewn around lamp posts. It was great fun and brought a smile to a few faces in the morning.
Was it someone from your group of 'knitivists' I heard on the radio this morning or is there more than one group in the country? I only heard the end of the interview.
I don't think it was us. There are a lot of knitivists (aka yarn stormers/bombers) around. There is even a International Yarn Bombing Day. Google it for some amazing images.
I think it may have been these people http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-16964985Some people must put a lot of time and effort into it going by the pictures on google.
